Originally created by Formstone Castle for Baltimore's Artscape, the Microrave is a giant, fully functional dance floor built inside an oversized microwave — 12 feet wide, 8 feet deep, 8 feet tall. Guests queue up, step past the velvet rope, and press the giant door release to enter. Inside, a control panel lets you set the duration and pick a playlist before pulling the door closed: the lights come up, the music starts, and a disco ball spins overhead like the turntable inside a microwave. A clock counts down on the outside — ending in a loud DING as the door swings open for the next group.

For Daisy Chain Fields, the Microrave brought its one-of-a-kind dance party to the festival grounds.
